The Psychedelic Furs and The Church are teaming up for a co-headline tour.

The two ’80s icons will do 20 US cities together, starting out August 8th in Buffalo, New York and wrapping up September 9th in San Diego. Originally scheduled to tour the U.S. together in 1988, it never happened. 27 years later they are ready to grace North American stages.

Church frontman Steve Kilbey told Billboard “the stars just never aligned.” But when the band’s U.S. manager Keith Hagan inquired as to the singer’s wish list for their 2015 tour, Kilbey “immediately came up with the Furs.”

He added  “I’m looking forward to seeing them play, because they’ve always been a favorite of mine. I think we’ll get good crowds together.”

And for long time fans, Kilbey promises of the live shows, “some surprising choices from our 35-year catalog.”

Billboard is also premiering the music video for their song “Laurel Canyon.”
