Powderfinger has announced that they will be reuniting for a charity gig next week.
It has been almost 10 years since their final show together but next Saturday night, the band will broadcast One Night Lonely, a live-streamed concert that will raise money and awareness for health charity Beyond Blue and music industry charity Support Act.
The gig is billed as “an exclusive performance from their respective home studios”, but it’s not clear how this will look and sound.
The event is called One Lonely as it “signifies the one-off nature of this event and points towards the very important charities the band are supporting.”
The band has not yet indicated whether they will perform more shows after this reunion.
Powderfinger will play One Night Lonely from 7pm AEST on Saturday 23 May. Watch it on the band’s YouTube page.
