“We don’t have to worry about predators like our ancestors did,” states the voiceover in a new Dodge commercial.

“No sabretooth tigers stalking from the brush, no dire wolves circling the camp.”

As the Dodge’s engine starts, the subtle, haunting notes of Phil Collins‘ “In the Air Tonight” oozes out from underneath the sound of the engine. “There are no more monsters to fear and so, we have to build our own,” the announcer informs us as the auto speeds along with Collins’s song lingering in the background.

The classic track from Collins’ 1981 solo debut, Face Value, has been used time and again in a variety of ads, movies and television shows over the years, including a spot earlier this year for the mini-series A.D.: The Bible Continues.

Face Value, which is set tor a deluxe reissue soon, yielded two hit singles, “In the Air Tonight” and the soul-kissed “I Missed Again.” The LP hit the Top 10 in the U.S. and grabbed the No. 1 spot in the U.K. The album featured songs about Collins’ imminent divorce. It eventually sold more than five million copies, surpassing every album by Collins’ band, Genesis, up to that point.
