We’ve got some GREAT news for you this Friday – the NSW Government is reducing the weekly travel cap on your Opal card by $13.20.
Oh, happy day!
Currently, if you have an adult Opal card, it maxes out at $63.20 within any calendar week.
But, when the changes come into effect on Monday, 24 June it will be capped when you hit $50.
The cap – which was promised by Gladys Berejiklian and is detailed in the NSW Budget papers – comes into effect for all train, bus, ferry and light rail passengers.
It will benefit those who travel greater distances, more so than shorter routes.
