Vince Neil gave one of his first post-pandemic performances this weekend and it didn’t appear to go as well as the Mötley Crüe singer had hoped.
While he was performing with his solo band, Neil was well into a set stuffed with Mötley Crüe classics when his voice gave out.
Neil walked off stage while the band played on, and apologised to the audience, saying, “Hey guys. I’m sorry, you guys. It’s been a long time playin’. My f–kin’ voice is gone. We love you and we hope to see you next time, man. Thank you.”
It was the final straw in what sounded like a bit of a day for Neil, who had not only been struggling with his voice but also seemed to forget lyrics.
Neil’s cover of The Beatles’ classic Helter Skelter prompted a comment online saying, “I was there front row. Seen Vince eight times, worst performance ever. He was reading the lyrics that his roadie taped on the floor while Vince left for a well-needed break. No way he could do a stadium tour.”
