Alright, alright, alright…
It’s been announced this morning that Matthew McConaughey is about to head Down Under!
The Oscar Award winning actor is heading to Australia this November as part of Wild Turkey Bourbon’s new initiative, ‘With Thanks’.
The program is designed to help support and celebrate Australia’s unique wildlife, which Matthew first fell in love with as a 19-year-old volunteer when he worked with horses on a Central Coast farm.
“Australia has always had a special place in my heart. I lived there for a year out of high school and have worked there many times making movies. An original Australian initiation is its rugged beauty. Mother nature demands you engage with her,” said McConaughey.
“Whether it’s the outback, the Barrier Reef, or the farms on the Central Coast, I’ve enjoyed the natural beauties of Australia for years. And now I’m coming back to meet and celebrate the unwavering conviction of Aussies who work tirelessly to preserve and protect the beautiful wilderness and wildlife that is their own.”
During his visit to Australia for ‘With Thanks’ McConaughey will design and lunch an off-the-grid cabin with Aussie travel start-up Unyoked to encourage more people to reconnect with the wild.
We can’t wait to welcome Matthew back home Down Under! Until then, we’ll be watching How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days on repeat… (If this isn’t your favourite Matthew McConaughey movie then you’re lying)
