Last night’s explosive finale episode of Married At First Sight saw Australia collectively hunched over their television sets desperate to know what happened to each of the couples after the show, including controversial couple Jessika and Dan.
After the stormy reunion episode, the contentious couple came to blows over Jess’ attempt at wooing Nic live on Channel Nine’s Talking Married.
Guest panellist Ben Fordham began the chat by explaining the pair had just engaged in a profanity-laden exchange during the ad break.
“You guys just had a dispute, there were some f-bombs going back and forth,” Ben said.
“It seems to me that the tension is still pretty strong,” he added.
“Yeah, look it is,” the 35-year-old Gold Coast single dad responded.
“It raises huge trust issues for me, and that’s what we’ve been struggling with over the last few months in our relationship”.
Jessika proceeded to admit she “did hit on Nic”, prompting Dan to declare: “That’s the first time she’s admitted it to me… just right now.”
However, the 27-year-old suddenly backtracked, saying she’d only admitted it because it’s what Dan wanted to hear.
“I wasn’t interested in being with Nic, I wasn’t interested in swapping with Nic… looking back on it, it looks like I did hit on him and that’s what everybody here wants me to admit, so yeah I’m admitting it for Dan.
“I don’t feel like I did, but it’s obviously what Dan wants to hear.”
The bickering continued until Jess said to Dan under her breath: “Can we not fight on national television!”
When asked whether Dan is “over this [relationship]”, Dan explains that he still has major trust issues and is struggling.
“To me it is [a big deal], there’s a lot too it for me. I wish I didn’t watch it tonight to be honest with you,” Dan confessed.
“Definitely I wish I’d been a bit more honest,” Jess admitted.
So, has the couple learnt to trust each other three months on?
“I don’t know. I just don’t know,” Dan declared.
