Devastation, heartache and loss – these three words perfectly encapsulate the past few months in Australia. Bushfires have destroyed more than six million hectares and thousands of homes already lost.

But, with tragedy comes change and hope.

Leo Sayer and John Waters joined Jonesy & Amanda in-studio to discuss FireAid 2020, a bushfire relief concert for the NSW Southern Highlands.

Actor, musician and Southern Highlands resident John Waters has been manning the phones and recruiting a long list of musical mates to create FireAid2020 – a concert set to help heal the devastated communities one powerful performance at a time.

Local and international artists alike have come together to raise money for bushfire-affected communities.

Legendary Australian singer Daryl Braithwaite will headline FireAid 2020, and perform at the now sold-out Sydney relief concert Fire Fight Australia.

FireAid2020 is taking place on Friday, 24th January at the Bong Bong Picnic Racecourse, Bowral.
