After going viral for the surprisingly musical way that she wakes up her daughter from her naps, Kylie Jenner is now reportedly trying to trademark the now infamous phrase ‘Rise and Shine’.
Being no stranger to the trademark, after trying to do so with her own name Kylie and her daughter Stormi’s name before she was even born, TMZ now reports that she’s doing the same with ‘Rise and Shine’.
In case you somehow missed the viral video, the moment occurred at the end of Kylie’s office tour video as she went in to wake up baby Stormi and sang, ‘Riiiiseee and Shiiinneee’ launching a plethora of copycats and memes.
Heck, someone even remixed the little jingle into an actual song!
According to TMZ, Kylie has now submitted an application to trademark the three words. If successful, the trademark will cover products such as “belts, pants, coats, dresses, footwear, gloves, headbands, headwear, jackets, loungewear, scarves, sleepwear, socks, swimwear and undergarments, as well as cosmetics”.
This comes after Kylie already released two hoodies with the phrase on it and her face surrounded by a sun that looks eerily similar to the baby on the Telly Tubbies. These have since sold out.
Since news of the trademark mission, people have been going nuts on Twitter, trolling Kylie for trying to put her stamp on a phrase that existed long before she made it go viral.
Trademark something that existed before them

This shouldn’t be granted. I feel like this is like the phrase “Happy Birthday”

How narcissistic to trademark an expression that was established way before she was even a thought in her mother's head. 🙄

This whole thing smells like another Kris Jenner plan if you ask us.
