“Don’t Touch My Ascot,” the humorous new song KISS recorded for their new animated movie Scooby-Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery, has turned up on the internet

With lyrics that refer to Scooby-Doo hero Fred Jones’s neckware of choice, the masked foursome, together with Greg Collins and Jared Faber, sing in soulful barbershop music style over gentle acoustic guitars. Six more traditional KISS classics will also appear in the film, which much like their reviled 1978 television movie KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park finds the group doing battle in an amusement park setting. The official description of the film follows:

“KISS members Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer voice their own characters in the movie, which centres on a Halloween concert at the group’s amusement park Kiss World. Scooby, Shaggy and the rest of the Mystery Inc. gang drop by to hear some tunes but wind up partnering with the musicians to take on the Crimson Witch, a spooky lady with a nefarious plan to summon the evil and powerful Destroyer from the alternate dimension of Kissteria.”

Scooby-Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery is now available via video on demand services, and will arrive in DVD and Blu-ray form on July 21.
