Traffic lights in Vienna have been given a makeover that’s an adorable nod to equality.

Ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 23, dozens of lights around the Austrian capital have been revamped to feature same sex couples, rather than the regular singular person.

The campaign hopes to present Vienna as an open-minded city, while also improving traffic safety.

Australia will compete in Eurovision for the first time this year, represented by Guy Sebastian.
