Comedian Kathy Griffin has revealed that she will undergo surgery for lung cancer, but maintains that doctors “are very optimistic” that she can make a full recovery.
On social media, the 60-year-old explained that she would be undergoing surgery to remove half of her left lung.
“Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked!” she tweeted.
“The doctors are very optimistic as it is stage one and contained to my left lung. Hopefully no chemo or radiation after this and I should have normal function with my breathing.”
