“Kiss cams” are a regular part of American sporting games, in which the camera zooms around the stadium before coming up close on a couple in the middle of smooching.

Recently, the first ever gay kiss at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles was caught on cam, and the crowd’s reaction was surprisingly heartwarming.

As the camera zoomed into two men sitting together (around the 28 second mark), they shared a brief kiss – and the audience erupted into cheers.

Though it’s the first gay kiss on camera at Dodgers, it’s not the first gay kiss on camera in professional baseball – that happened in 2011 during a San Francisco Giants game.
