The Irwin family was hit hard when they were forced to shut Australia Zoo for 78 days amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite having limited income during the time, the family still had to pay $400,000 a week on staff wages and close to $80,000 on food for the zoo’s animals.
While they were eligible for government assistance – which essentially saved the zoo – they had to think of other ways they could attain an income.
The answer? Robert Irwin!
