If we all have to practice social distancing, then why should our favourite shows be exempt? They shouldn’t, and the producers of Dancing With The Stars couldn’t agree more.

This morning, Amanda Keller addressed the restrictions and the interesting ways Dancing With The Stars would be implementing them this Sunday.

The show has taken extreme measures to farewell the season safely, with Amanda reassuring fans that “every precaution has been taken but the show will go on”.

Despite the finale originally planned to air next Sunday, Channel 10 made the appropriate decision to push it forward to this Sunday as a result of state border closures.

Unlike past seasons, the eliminated contestants will not be coming back for a final dance-off.

Unfortunately, Judge Craig Revel Horwood will also be missing the finale after being forced to fly back to the UK after news of international lockdowns. Thankfully, he will be appearing via a video link from his home in England.

In regards to social distancing, the judges and hosts will observe a 1.5 metre distance between them. While the dancers cannot completely adhere to these restrictions, they must obey the social distancing orders outside the 90-second duration of their dance. They are allowed to break these rules as they have been dancing together for three months already.
