Sydney Metro services will not run this weekend due to works on the $7.3 billion line.

The works will come after 25 days of services and will close at 6 AM this Saturday until 1 AM on Monday morning.

“During this time no trains will operate on the North West Line, with buses replacing all Metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood Stations,” a Transport for NSW bulletin said.

Since opening in May, the services have been running pretty smoothly, with trains arriving at stations every five minutes during peak and every 10 minutes during off-peak periods.

The Transport for NSW bulletin said “This work is taking place to allow Sydney Metro to ramp up services to every four minutes during peak periods in each direction, from the start of July.’
