Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are expecting their first child!
The news was confirmed this weekend as the 33-year-old actress was photographed with her baby bump for a recent cover story in Make Magazine. Fashion editor Ursula Lake took to Instagram with the image, in which a pregnant Leslie shows off her growing belly in a long black Stella McCartney gown.
“A very special all woman team photographic shoot capturing Rose at this wonderful time as she prepares for motherhood for the first time!” Lake captioned the picture.
As Game of Thrones fans know, Harington and Leslie portrayed onscreen lovers on the HBO medieval fantasy series from seasons four through six. The pair started a romance behind the scenes after acquainting in 2012, though they suffered a breakup the following year. After reconciling and making their love red carpet official at the 2016 Olivier Awards in Britain, the notoriously private couple announced their engagement in September 2017 with a notice in the Times of London newspaper.

In June 2018, the longtime lovebirds tied the knot at the actress’ family castle, Wardhill, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The guests in attendance at the nuptials included several of Leslie and Harington’s Game of Thrones co-stars, including Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Peter Dinklage, and Emilia Clarke.
Speaking with the outlet, the mommy-to-be said she and her husband have been spending quality time together at their Tudor manor residence in East Anglia. “It’s incredibly old. We have a thatched roof, which currently has an enormous hornet’s nest in it,” Leslie said. “I do love to think about the house and all the people who have lived there. Were they happy, how did they live?”
“What a glorious thing to be able to run to the countryside and recoup,” she added. “It’s a great privilege to be surrounded by greenery, birdsong and hedgerows, and our delightful neighbours. It’s so peaceful.”
