Aussie hit drama 800 Words will go into production for a second season.
The Seven Network has announced it has commissioned more episodes of 800 Words, starring Erik Thomson as writer George Turner.
Thomson was also a key player in Seven’s highly successful drama Packed To The Rafters in which he starred as patriarch Dave Rafter opposite Rebecca Gibney who played his wife Julie Rafter.
The drama has averaged two million viewers per episode and is second only to reality cooking series My Kitchen Rules as the most popular weekly show on Seven this year.
“We’re thrilled that Australian audiences have embraced the Turner family and the people of Weld. Its further proof good stories, told well, are key,” Brad Lyons, Seven’s director of network production, said in a statement.
* 800 Words airs Tuesday nights on the Seven Network.
