I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here star and former politician Jacqui Lambie has been rushed to hospital after suffering a nasty head injury in the South African jungle.

In a Tucker Trial gone wrong, the Tasmania-born senator showed off her competitive streak alongside Love Island’s Justin Lacko by winning the latest challenge, but moments after their victory, things took a turn when Justin noticed blood dripping down Jacqui’s forehead.

It all happened when the 47-year-old ran up against a solid boulder.

After being assessed by a paramedic, Lambie was rushed to a hospital over two hours away from camp for an emergency CT scan.

The scan determined that the senator had not sustained a skull fracture or anything suspicious. She was then released back to camp, despite significant swelling and bruising to her forehead and around her eye.

When asked by host Dr. Chris Brown about her injuries, Jacqui made light of the situation, saying: “I’ve had two kids mate and went through labour pain. I know that’s difficult for you men and you die when you’ve got the flu [because] you call it man flu!”

Jacquie Lambie truly is tough as nails!
