Entertainer Jeanne Little has died at the age of 82.
Little’s daughter Katie posted on social media that her mother’s death was a “huge shock”.
“My mother has left the earthly plane,” she posted on Facebook.
“This is a huge shock – but I’m so grateful.
“Love you all my friends.”
Cheers Mum, to all the fun times.
“I'll be here tomorrow
Alive and well and thriving
I'll be here tomorrow
It's simply called surviving
If before the dawn
This fragile world might crack
Someone's got to try
To put the pieces back. pic.twitter.com/8eQbccBqXW— Katie M Little 🐨 (@LittleFamilyOz) November 7, 2020
Little’s daughter created the Jeanne Little Alzheimer’s Research Fund in 2011 after the Australian icon and television darling of more than 30 years was diagnosed with the disease in 2009.
Little made her TV debut in 1974, appearing on the high-rating daytime program The Mike Walsh Show, which was then airing on Network Ten.
Three years after making her first appearance on television, Little won the Gold Logie for Most Popular (Female) Australian entertainer and TV personality.
