Wondering why your five-year-old child is bopping along to one of the official songs for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics?
It sounds ridiculously similar to Let It Go from the hit animated movie Frozen.
China has been accused of copying the Academy Award winning track for its official Winter Olympic song, The Snow and Ice Dance.
According to the New York Times, Chinese business magazine Caijing Online has offered technical analysis of The Snow and Ice Dance to highlight the similarities between the songs.
“Both songs employ a piano as the major instrument, have similar prelude chords and an eight-beat introduction, and they run at almost exactly the same tempo,” it said.
The only major difference is the language.
The Snow and Ice Dance is one of 10 official songs unveiled for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
