Jane Fonda and her long-time partner Richard Perry have parted ways.
Perry confirmed the news to E Online, claiming Fonda’s dedication and focus on her activism work has put a wedge between their romance but they remain friends.
“It’s not a break up, it’s a shift in the direction of our lives,” Perry said.
“I hate to say the romantic relationship is over. We’re definitely extremely good friends. We do things together.
“We care about each other a great deal and as far as romantic relationships, that’s temporarily been put on the back burner because she, as you probably know, has rededicated herself to activism.
“We definitely have a great deal of love for each other.”

The 74-year-old record producer did not completely rule out a reconciliation in the future but indicated it was out of his hands.
“I would say that there’s always a possibility that her life will change…” he continued.
At the moment we’ve been leading two separate lives, but we still find time to do dinner once a week, watch movies, stuff like that.”
The Beverly Hills home that the pair owned has also been put on the market, listed for US$13 million.
The couple were never married but they had been together for eight years.
