Delta Goodrem‘s concern over the Australian bushfire crisis inspired her new single, “Let It Rain,” and the charity track is doing much more than simply moving listeners; it’s making an actual difference.

Not only has the three-minute piano ballad topped the iTunes chart in the Aussie star’s homeland, but track, which was co-written with her boyfriend, Matthew Copley, has started to infiltrate other countries with its inspirational message and sees all its proceeds aid the ongoing crisis. “They say ‘Keep on praying’ and we’re waiting for the rain/ Let it rain, here today/ Can it rain, here today,” she sings during the chorus.

“Thank you so much iHeart for playing ‘Let It Rain’ and supporting this song written and released with all proceeds going to support the devastating Australian bushfires and relief efforts,” the singer, 35, said in an exclusive statement. “This song is a message of gratitude to all the fire fighters, every day heroes and everyone desperately trying to save homes and wildlife and all the sacrifices they’re making for Australia and its people and animals.”
