After five seasons, Channel Nine’s ‘Doctor Doctor’ will be coming to an end.
Andy Ryan, Nine’s head of drama, confirmed the news, writing: “All journeys have a destination, and after five seasons it’s finally crunch time in Hugh’s roller-coaster search for redemption and love.”

At a time when Aussie drama seems under threat – let’s celebrate the success of Doctor Doctor – first went to air September 2016. A terrific star vehicle for Rodger Corser and so many other talented actors. Sad that it is ending but what an achievement for all involved.

Doctor Doctor stars Rodger Corser, Tina Bursill, Ryan Johnson, Nicole da Silva, Matt Castley, Chloe Bayliss, Charles Wu, Belinda Bromilow and Hayley McElhinney.
Season five of the Australian drama, which is filmed in Mudgee NSW, is currently airing on Wednesday nights on Nine.
