Carly Simon has an upcoming memoir, Boys in the Trees, and cover art work has been revealed. It features a black-and-white photo of Carly as a child, smiling sweetly as she glances down at the ground.

The memoir will chronicle the singer’s life from her childhood through to her career success and turbulent relationships.

“This book is my way of going back through my childhood, my music, my romances, my marriage…and trying to make sense of it all,” Carly says in a statement.  “I’ve been working on it for so long that it feels like my third child…but now it’s time to send that child out in the world.  It’s one of the most frightening and exciting  things I’ve ever done.”

Boys in the Trees will officially be released November 24 by Flatiron Books.
