Most of us have seen the photo Michael Buble Instagramamed earlier this week of a woman wearing short shorts.

The woman was seemingly unaware that the photo was being taken or that she was about to become involved in a social media outburst.

With the caption “There was something about this photo lu took, that seemed worthy of instagram”, Buble posted the photo of the woman’s rear and subsequently the singer was subject to a lot of criticism online.

Using hash-tags such as #hungryshorts and #onlyinmiami it’s no surprise that he faced backlash.

This time using the caption “A statement from Michael regarding his recent Instagram post” the singer responded with a heartfelt message.

While defending his character and the intention of the photo, he at no stages apologises for his actions – only saying he “regrets that there are people out there who found the photo offensive”.

You be the judge – is this a just apology or just him on the defensive trying to make amends.
