Bryan Adams is not happy after a guitar of his was mysteriously defaced on a recent Air Canada flight from Toronto to Detroit. At end of the journey he opened his guitar case  to find the rude surprise.

The Canadian singer-songwriter tweeted a picture of the acoustic guitar, which had some letters and numbers scrawled on the body in a black marker during the flight. There was no apparent reason as to why anyone would do this damage or who they might be.

Adams wrote  “Could someone from @AirCanada contact me about the pen damage done to my guitar? AC 8023 Toronto/Detroit. 22 July”

Many fan tweets followed in support of Bryan Adams.  McFeniex @Feniex17 wrote “Uh oh Air Canada pen damaging Bryan Adams’ guitar. Could say that was #Reckless of them”.

Airline spokesperson Peter Fitzpatrick told CityNews.ca the carrier is in touch with Adams and they are still “looking into this matter.”

“Our goal is always to have everyone’s baggage arrive safely at its destination,” Fitzpatrick said in an email.
