Bob Dylan was the musical guest on the penultimate episode of CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday night.

Dylan performed “The Night We Called It A Day,” off his Frank Sinatra covers album, Shadows in the Night.

It was Dylan’s first appearance on a David Letterman program since 1993.

Letterman offered a kind introduction for Dylan. He said he’s told his son, Harry, that the two most important things to know in life is, ” You have to be nice to other people,” and, “The greatest songwriter of modern times is Bob Dylan.”
