Billy Joel made the hometown crowd happy at Game 3 of the World Series in New York on Friday night.

The “Piano Man,” a native of Long Island, sang the national anthem at Citi Field before the Mets hosted the Kansas City Royals.

Later, during the eighth inning, the crowd sang along as Billy’s classic tune “Piano Man” was played at the ballpark. Billy, who was watching the game nearby with actor and comedian Kevin James, was even caught on TV taking part, too.

The Mets won Game 3 but lost Game 4 on Saturday night, which featured pop star Demi Lovato performing the national anthem.

Tony Bennett sang “America, the Beautiful” prior to Game 5 at Citi Field.
