Barnesy is going out on his own for a national acoustic tour.

The Cold Chisel frontman had so much success during his recent 30:30 Hindsight tour that he’s heading back out on his own again just a few months since he wound up the 30-year anniversary shows.

In July, Jimmy Barnes will spend each weekend performing in a different place for one night only on his Flesh and Wood Acoustic Tour, playing music from his 1993 album of the same name.

Flesh and Wood was the singer’s seventh record and included duets with the late Joe Cocker, Diesel, Archie Roach and Ross Wilson on well-known covers and also Chisel hits.

For the acoustic tour, he will have a nine-piece band and a string section on stage to perform for over two hours.

* Jimmy Barnes tour dates:

July 3 – Concert Hall, QPAC, Brisbane

July 4 – Empire Theatre, Toowoomba, Qld

July 10 – Crown Theatre, Perth, WA

July 11 – Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre, Adelaide, SA

July 17 – State Theatre, Sydney, NSW

July 18 – Palais Theatre, Melbourne, Vic
