Pink Floyd’s original members, bassist Roger Waters and drummer Nick Mason, reunited on Thursday last week to unveil a commemorative blue plaque at the site of the London school where the band first formed.

Waters, Mason and late Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright all attended Regent Street Polytechnic between 1962 to 1965, and founded the group during their time at the college. There is talk the plaque was placed on a building that they actually never stepped foot in.

During his acceptance speech at the ceremony, Waters said, “As I recall it was down there, wasn’t it?,” referring to the actual building they met in, which has since been demolished. Well, if you do make it over to London, you can see the plaque on the school’s building just off Oxford Circus.
