This past June marked the 20th anniversary of Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill. In celebration of the landmark album’s 20th year, a new four-disc collector’s edition of the album will be released on October 30.
Jagged Little Pill: Collector’s Edition will include remastered audio of the original album plus an entire disc of 10 unreleased demos from that time period handpicked by Alanis herself. It also will feature a previously unreleased concert recorded at London’s Subterranea in 1995 as well as 2005’s Jagged Little Pill Acoustic.
A two-disc deluxe edition of the album will be released that same day. That version will just include the remastered original album and the disc of unreleased demos.
“I’m super excited to share this music with a whole new generation of peeps, as well as people who have grown along with me over the last two decades,” Alanis says. “Thankfully, these songs have stood the test of time for me, and in their timelessness, I am thrilled to honor and reflect on them as well as the last twenty years of my life and career.”
The set will also include never-before-seen photos and other ephemera from the era, and a new essay written by Alanis in which she reveals the stories behind the 10 unreleased demos she recorded between 1994 and 1998.
