Adam Lambert is returning to Australia for a set of initimate dates in January.
The former American Idol runner-up, who is currently in the country to perform on The Voice Australia on Sunday, last toured here as frontman for Queen in winter 2014.
The Original High tour will showcase his album of the same name at single dates in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.
His new single Ghosttown, currently number 20 on the Aria singles charts, is a departure from the theatrical performer’s usual pop sound, something Lambert attributes to his turn as Queen frontman and his work with Swedish DJ Avici.
“Both of those projects reminded me there is so much out there that is possible regardless of your backstory or what show you came from,” he told News.com.au.
ADAM LAMBERT’S THE ORIGINAL HIGH TOUR DATES:
January 25, 2016 – Melbourne, The Palais
January 28, 2016 – Adelaide, AEC Theatre
January 30, 2016 – Sydney, Enmore Theatre
* Tickets will be available on August 7.
