Spanish actor Antonio Banderas, 60, says he has tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and is in quarantine.
“I want to make the news public that today, August 10, I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday in quarantine, having tested positive for the COVID-19 illness caused by the coronavirus,” he wrote on Twitter in Spanish.
“I would like to add that I find myself relatively well, only a bit more tired than usual and confident that I will recuperate as soon as possible by following the medical instructions that I hope will help me overcome the infectious process that I am suffering and that has affected so many others around the planet.”
