They first met in a church where they were to be flowergirl and ringbearer at a wedding.

When Adrian first found out, when he was a five-year-old, he was gutted.

“I was devastated. I was like ‘tell me I don’t have to walk down the aisle with her!'” he told WBTV.

But while Adrian wasn’t interested, Brooke had already formed a little crush on him.

She told BuzzFeed Life that it was pretty set in stone for her, but her outspoken personality didn’t “vibe” with Adrian’s shyness when they were kids.

“She was kind of a brat” he told BuzzFeed Life.

“I was always trying to get away from her and run from her and hide from her.”

They lost touch, but reconnected at a middle school camp, where Adrian admitted she sparked his interest with her laugh.

“We went on a church trip together, and she caught my eye with her laugh, and this time, her personality got to me,” he told BuzzFeed Life.

And four years later, he finally asked her out, but friends of the pair say it was practically inevitable, as both admitted they thought about the other during other relationships.

“When we finally went out in August of 2011, I knew he was the one. I just fell in love that minute,” Brooke said. Adrian proposed last November.

And the got married last month, in the same church where they had been flowergirl and ringbearer!

But Brooke also told BuzzFeed that their flowergirl and ringbearer could even repeat history.

“He did not like her very much, but I think that she kind of liked him,” she said.

They wouldn’t walk arm in arm, but apparently a guest saw the flower girl try to kiss the ring bearer.

“The mother of the flower girl texted me after the wedding and said, ‘I guess I need to get to know the ring bearer a little more after your story,’” Brooke said.
