HERE'S WHAT'S MAKING NEWS TODAY:

A man will front court today - charged with stealing a semi trailer that crashed in the main street of SINGLETON in the HUNTER.

EIGHT people were injured ... including one man critically ... after the rig crashed and burst into flames.

The 29-year-old driver took out FIVE cars and slammed into the local hotel and antique store. He allegedly stole the truck from a service station about a HUNDRED KAYS away and had been involved in a chase with police.

A man's in a stable condition after being stabbed while walking through MOSMAN.

The 50-year-old was attacked by TWO men around 10-30 last night. Police think the men - described as MIDDLE EASTERN appearance ... could be responsible for THREE recent armed robberies in the area.

More proof this morning property prices have gone off the boil ... particularly in some of the most expensive suburbs.

DOMAIN'S State of the Market report shows our median house price fell ONE-point-NINE percent last quarter to 1.16 MILLION dollars.

But houses in the Inner City and Eastern suburbs - as well as apartments on the LOWER North Shore - fell about SIX percent.
