Woman Throws Acid On Ex-Husband's Face In Western Sydney
A woman has been charged after she allegedly threw corrosive fluid into the face of a her ex-husband in Silverwater.
About 1.30pm yesterday, a 55-year-old woman attended the workplace of the man in Skarrett Street, Silverwater.
A verbal confrontation commenced before the woman allegedly left the room and walked into the kitchen facility of the office.
It’s alleged the woman returned to the room with a mug of corrosive fluid that was thrown in the face of the 58-year-old man.
The man was taken to Concord Emergency Burns Unit where he remains in a stable condition with burn injuries to his eye.
Officers from Flemington Police Area Command commenced an investigation that led to the arrest of the woman at a home in Belfield.
She was taken to Auburn Police Station where she was served an Appended Domestic Violence Order, and charged with throw fluid with intent to burn/maim cause grievous bodily harm (DV), and larceny.
She was refused bail and will appear in Burwood Local Court today.
