Woman Left Dangling In Car From Third Storey Car Park
A woman has had a lucky escape after her car crashed through the third storey barrier of a carpark in south Sydney.
Her car was spotted hanging over the railing at Westfield Miranda Shopping centre yesterday. The car was dangling over 10-metres above the concrete below.
Emergency services including NSW Ambulance cres, Intensive Care paramedics and Special Operations paramedics rushed to the aid of the woman.
The 40-year-old woman was rescued from the car and taken to Sutherland Hospital for minor injuries, believed to have occurred when her airbags discharged.
"With a potential fall of ten metres, this patient is very lucky to have only minor injuries," NSW Ambulance Inspector Giles Buchanan said.
"Had the car crashed through the guard rail completely, we could have been looking at a far more serious outcome."
