Uni Students Can Now Study A Bitcoin Programming Course
If you’re a student currently deciding which major to study at university you may want to consider a career in the cryptocurrency industry.
One Australian University have launched the Nation’s first course in Blockchain, the platform behind the infamous electronic-currency, Bitcoin.
Blockchain is the ledger program that adds value to Bitcoin and other forms of cryptocurrency by recording transactions in a permanent and secure format.
The short course has been launched this week at Melbourne’s RMIT University as students around the nation head into the first semester of 2018. It aims to educate the upcoming generation of tech start-up entrepreneurs on the Blockchain strategy.
“Blockchain is now becoming a core part of contemporary digital literacy,”said Vice Chancellor Martin Bean.
The university course is run online over a period of eight-weeks and is said to begin throughout March this year with international speakers coming on board to discuss the ins and outs of this growing industry.
The Blockchain sector is said to be in desperate need of people trained in the program as the cryptocurrency industry is said to be worth around $176 Billion in the US by 2025 according to Gartner Research.
Apart from it’s use in the virtual economy, Blockchain can be used to track ownership of real-world items, electronic voting, cybersecurity and electricity management.
