Two Arrested After Late Night Rampage In Western Sydney

Two men have been arrested following a crash in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

Just before midnight, Bankstown Police rushed to Glencorse Avenue, Milperra, following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers found a Holden Commodore had crashed into a parked vehicle and a tree.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, allegedly returned a positive result in a roadside breath test. He was taken to Bankstown Hospital under police guard with minor injuries, where he has undergone mandatory tests.

An 18-year-old man, a passenger, was arrested at the scene after allegedly spitting on police.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with assault police, resist police, and offensive language.

He was granted bail and is due to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 28 February 2018.

Police are now awaiting the results of the driver’s blood tests, and inquiries continue.
