Twisted Sister's Clive Palmer Case Gets To Court

The battle between American rock band Twisted Sister and Clive Palmer over their song We're Not Gonna Take It has made it to court, with a judge setting a timetable for the lawsuit.

The band's lead singer Dee Snider says Mr Palmer used his band's 1980s hit as inspiration for a song used in a television advertisement for his United Australia Party, while Mr Palmer has said the song was actually a rip-off of the Christmas carol O Come, All Ye Faithful.

In the Federal Court on Wednesday, Justice Alan Robertson set a timetable for Universal Music Publishing Pty Ltd and Mr Palmer to file certain documents in their cases and listed the matter for a further directions hearing on June 3.
