Tragedy As Woman Killed In Sydney's West

A woman has been killed after being struck by a truck in Sydney's south west.

Emergency services were called to Canterbury Road, Bankstown, at about 2.50am on Monday morning; according to police, the woman, believed to be in her 40s, was hit by an eastbound pantech truck.

Sadly, due to her serious injuries, the woman died at the scene.

The driver, a 69-year-old male, was uninjured, but was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
