Toddler Found Trapped In Locked Car In Sydney’s West

A major rescue operation has taken place in Sydney’s west after a one-year-old child was found trapped in a locked car.

The child was found in a white ute parked at Nepean Village in Penrith yesterday afternoon, with emergency crews, including police, Fire & Rescue NSW and NSW Ambulance paramedics called to the scene.

The emergency crews attempted to free the child using a crowbar, however, when the vehicle could not be unlocked, rescuers were forced to smash a window.

The young boy was pulled from the ute through the smashed window and was assessed by paramedics at the scene.

It’s unknown how long the child was locked in the car for but witnesses at the scene said that the boy looked hot and red in the face.
