Thousands Of Extra Bus Services To Be Announced In Sydney
Finally some good news for pubic transport users in Sydney with the NSW Government set to sped millions of dollars giving our bus services a major boost.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian is expected to announce thousands of extra services to the struggling network later today ahead of the state budget.
The eastern suburbs are expected to be the biggest winners in the announcement with suburbs in and around Bondi, Paddington, and Randwick set to see more frequent services.
But hundreds of other routes across the city will also benefit from the additions and it’s expected to ease the stress of workers trying to get into the CBD during peak times.
According to 9NEWS the announcement of extra bus services is part of the NSW government’s “Growth Bus Strategy”. It’s believed to be an election strategy for Premier Berejiklian with the CBD South East Light Rail is running over 12 months behind schedule.
