These Very Popular Baby Dummies Have Been RECALLED
Tommy Tippee super soft dummies are being recalled over safety fears.
The product, which is intended for children of a year old or more, was relaunched in May, with a smaller shield than the previous design.
The dummies currently meet safety standards but parents have raised concerns over the new design and the manufacturer has decided to recall the dummy as a result.
"We fully appreciate that some little ones will be very dependent on their comforter, so we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this will cause," the company said in a statement.
"The safety and reliability of this product is however our overriding concern, so we hope our customers will understand why we have decided that recalling the product is the right thing to do."
Parents can return the dummies to the store where they bought the product for a replacement or a refund.
The pacifiers are sold at many major stores, including Coles, Woolworths, Big W, K-Mart, Target, My Chemist, Chemist Warehouse, Baby Bunting and Babies 'R' Us.
