The Sydney Suburb That Has Been Left Infuriated By Noise

Police have said they have received numerous complaints about revving engines and speeding cars during an early morning ‘supercar’ event that was backed by The Newport hotel on Sunday.

Residents have told Police that expensive sports cars including Lamborghinis and Ferraris began turning up for the Cars & Coffee gathering from 7 am.

One resident has said the event was ‘mayhem’ and it left the suburb ‘flooded with cars by 9 AM.’

Police said it sent vehicles to Newport after resident complaints but the organisers had notified  Highway Patrol in advance.
