The Shocking Moment Two Giggling Melburnians Steal A Puppy
Melbourne East police are investigating following the theft of a dog in Melbourne last month.
Police have been told the two females entered a pet shop in a Latrobe Street shopping centre about 5.55pm on 15 April.
After spending about 30 minutes inside the store, one of the offenders gained entry to a pen containing Chihuahua puppies.
She then removed a light brown 12-week-old Chihuahua from the pen and placed it inside her jacket before leaving the store, followed by the second offender.
Investigators have released images of two girls who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
One of the females is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged 18 to 21 years old, about 165cm tall with a medium build and long dark brown hair.
She was wearing a black puffer vest, long grey and white top, black jeans with a rip in the left knee and white runners.
The second female is also perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged 18 to 21 years old, about 165cm tall with a slim build and medium length dark brown hair.
She was wearing a blue zip-up hoodie, dark top, black 2XU leggings and black & white Adidas runners.
