Teenage Girl Caught Falling Into Crowd Off An Amusement Ride

Witnesses were stunned recently as a 14-year-old girl dangled from a chairlift of the ’Sky Ride’ at Six Flags amusement park in upstate New York.

The girl screamed as she dangled from the chair, before eventually striking a branch as she fell 7.5m into waiting arms below.

The crazy footage shows the girl dangling above the ground as people yell out from below, before she eventually drops.

The crowd erupted into cheers and clapping as the girl was rushed by staff to an awaiting golf-buggy to take her for medical treatment. The incident was caught on video by Loren Lent, who posted it to Facebook.

Six Flags officials advised the ‘Sky Ride’ was stopped after an operator was told there was a passenger in distress.

The park said in a statement: “There does not appear to be any malfunction of the ride, but we have closed the attraction until a thorough review can be completed.”

It is unclear what caused the girl to fall from the two-person gondola, which was also occupied by an unidentified man.

The girl is reportedly in a stable condition, however a 47-year-old visitor to the park was treated and released for a back injury sustained while attempting to catch the girl.
