Sydney Lockout Laws Lifted For New Year’s Eve!

In news that will make Sydneysiders rejoice, the controversial lockout laws will be lifted for tonight’s New Year’s Eve celebrations!

The move comes in a bid to stop more than a million people swamping the city’s roads and public transport system, according to a report on The Daily Telegraph.

Here’s what you need to know…

Kings Cross and CBD pubs and clubs won’t be forced to knock people back from 1:30am as they normally are, but they will have to stop serving drinks at 3am.

Likewise, the usual midnight curfew on vessels dropping partygoers into the CBD will only apply from 3am-7am on New Year’s Day.

Woo hoo!
