Sydney, Here's Where The Worst Traffic Will Be This Weekend

Our roads are expected to be hectic this weekend, with a number of events at Moore Park and Sydney Olympic Park, plus holiday traffic, with plenty heading home from the school holidays.

The A League semi final between Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory kicks off at 7:50pm at Allianz Stadium.

Delays are expected on roads approaching Moore Park including the Eastern Distributor, Anzac Parade, Cleveland Street, Dacey Avenue, Lang Road and Moore Park Road.

Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time. Special event clearways will be in place on roads in the precinct from 3pm until midnight.

At Sydney Olympic Park, the AFL clash between the GWS Giants and Brisbane, and The Killers show at Qudos Bank Arena are expected to clog roads.

Anyone heading in is being advised to take public transport instead.

Sydney Olympic Park will again be busy, with the netball double header at Qudos Bank Arena from 1pm, as well as the NRL clash between the Tigers and Eels at 4:10pm.

Extra trains will run to Olympic Park from Schofields at 2:10pm and from Campbelltown at 2:06pm.

As well, trains will run between Lidcombe Station and Olympic Park every 10 minutes until 10pm.

Special ‘Eels Express’ shuttle buses will run every 15 minutes to Olympic Park from Castle Hill, Rouse Hill and Dural. Return services will also run every 10 minutes after full-time.
